About Annlaug Madland

Annlaug Madland is the mother of three. She has the same experiences as any other parent. In addition to this, she is trained as a kindergarten teacher and she has an MA in Educational Science from the University of Oslo, Norway. She has worked many years in kindergartens, both as a teacher and as a manager and she has years of experience as a lecturer in teacher training at Stavanger University, Norway.

Annlaug continues to work at HLB (county agricultural college) where she runs the self-development section of courses for adults who are changing their careers. In addition Annlaug is a professional mentor to a county-funded independent team of 15, which is based at Stavanger hospital and which provides on-demand street support for young drug users.

Annlaug has always been interested in children and childhood. Her passion is about how experiences early in life will influence on our adult life. Good experiences help us and make us function well. Negative experiences will often cause problems and limit our lives.

In recent years, Annlaug's focus has been on self-development for adults and this has strengthened her conviction about how strongly childhood experiences are connected to how grown-ups handle life.

Annlaug's courses for parents and those working in kindergartens, schools and SFO (child care organizations), are focused on the child's self- development: her goal is to give today's children a better childhood by giving the responsible adults knowledge, tips and increased awareness in what is involved in the raising of children. Through Personal Freedom Training (PFT)), Annlaug brings in to her self-development courses and consultations knowledge based on pedagogy and psychology, and the theories and methods gathered from Gary Craig of EFT, Hale Dwoskin of The Sedona Method and Dr. Larry Nimms of BSFF.
